What’s new:
The new Melissa Data MatchUp and Golden Record Selection tool allows us to easily rank and select the surviving record based on the actual quality of our contact data. This new technique for Golden Record Selection offers a much more effective and logical approach when it comes to record survivorship.
MatchUp Improvements
Improved Matching (Read Write)
Older versions of the MatchUP SSIS Component makes use of a less efficient matching algorithm. The latest version of the component makes use of an optimized algorithm allowing for better matches and throughput.
New and Built-In MatchCode Editor
The MatchCode editor has been re-worked to make it more intuitive and less intimidating. The interface is now simpler, and has been integrated within the component itself, while at the same time retaining all the functionality of its predecessor.
New Match Code Component Types and Fuzzy Algorithms
New match code component types have been added to MatchUp to accommodate more match types:
1. Proximity Matching:
Associate Latitudes and Longitudes that are within a certain distance of each other.
2. Date:
Allows you to specify a number of days for which a match will be possible if the records being compared fall within the set number of days apart.
3.Numeric:
This allows you to specify an integer number for which a match will be possible if the record’s unit difference falls within the set number.
New fuzzy matching algorithms have also been added such as: N-Gram, Levenshtein, Jaro Winkler, MDKeyboard, and Double Meaphone.
List Suppress and Intersect
Two new features have been introduced in the latest version of the MatchUp SSIS Component – List Suppress and Intersection. List Suppression allows for filtering incoming records from a suppression list. List Intersect on the other hand allows for gathering common data between two lists.
2012 Compatibility
The components are available in SQL Server 2005, 2008 and now 2012.
New Global Component
The Data Quality Components Version 3.3 includes a brand new component for parsing and validating International Addresses. This component allows for validating over 240 countries with flexibility and accuracy delivered like the rest of the Melissa Data Products.
Improved Smart Mover Component
The latest Smart Mover Component offers a new interface that allows for easier setup. Other improvements include: better multithreading capability and better timeout/error handling.
Flexible Technology
On Premise, Off Premise and Dedicated Cloud Processing
Previous versions of Melissa’s SSIS Components support On-Premise only processing for Address, Name, Phone, and Email Verification/Cleansing as well as GeoCoding. The latest version of the components allow for On Premise (Local), Off Premise (Melissa Web Service Call) and Dedicated Cloud (Contact Verification Server) processing.
Notice
2005 SSIS Components have been deprecated and are no longer fully supported.
